MILLING & CNC EXPERIENCE

I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience with both manual milling and CNC machining through coursework, research, and extracurricular projects. At Duke, I completed a full-semester mechanical design course with a separate focus in manual machining. I’ve since applied those skills in the fabrication of aerospace components for Duke AERO and academic projects, working with materials like 6061 aluminum and composites to produce parts such as brackets, bulkheads, and mounting plates. While my CNC experience is more collaborative, I’ve contributed to CAM workflows using Fusion 360, assisted in generating toolpaths, and supported the setup and execution of CNC operations in the shop. This includes setting part zeros, managing tool offsets, and adjusting machining parameters in real time.
